Ruby Lee Hardee Lewis聽
A funeral service for Ruby Lee Hardee Lewis, 95, conducted by Pastor Cliff Mixon, will be held Aug. 25 at 1 p.m. in Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Entombment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum.聽
Mrs. Lewis passed away peacefully at her home Aug. 23.聽
Born Aug. 5, 1930 in Conway, she was the daughter of the late John Warren Hardee and the late Lillie Mae Todd Hardee.聽
She was a faithful member of Sweetwater Branch Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Lewis spent her career in banking.聽
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lewis was predeceased by her husband, Isaac Lewis; her son, Leroy Lewis; her brothers, Woodrow Hardee, George Hardee, William Leroy Hardee, J.C. Hardee and Fred Hardee; her sisters, Lizzie Todd, Thelma Rewis and Rachel Inman; and her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Lewis.
Survivors include her children, Timmy Lewis, Vickie Wilkinson and Faye Barker and husband Tony; her grandchildren, Dewayne Lewis, Cristy Dudley and husband Jerry, and Brent Barker and wife Lauren; her great-grandchildren, Shelley Dudley, Tyler Dudley, Kayden Lewis, Landon Barker and Stanton Barker; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from noon to 1 p.m.
The family acknowledges with grateful appreciation the loving care and attention provided by the staff and management of Caregivers of SC, especially Clara McCray and Tina Thompson, as well as Amedisys Hospice.聽聽聽聽
Memorial donations may be made to聽any local not-for-profit animal rescue or care organization.
