听Milne Lee Sutherland
Milne Lee Sutherland, 85, passed away July 30 at his residence with his loving wife by his side.听
Born Jan. 22, 1940 in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of William Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Gaigley Sutherland.
Mr. Sutherland was a very knowledgeable and skilled civil engineer and was owner of Development Consultants Group.听
He was very active in pursuing his passions, serving on many boards and committees including president of the board of directors of FONZ (Friends of the National Zoo), board member of Ivy Mount special needs school, Make a Wish Foundation and the board of Rebuilding Together. He was active with the Smithsonian and Sugarloaf Car Club.听
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone he met. He also loved American history, military history, cooking, animals and photography.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Virginia Sutherland Hesterberg, Mary Elizabeth Margaret Sutherland Russell, William A. 鈥淏ud鈥 Sutherland and Douglas 鈥淪udds鈥 Sutherland.
Mr. Sutherland is survived by his wife of 46 Years, Jannine Smith Sutherland; daughters, Karen Lee Sutherland (Ira Elliott), Tracey Beth Celi (Scott); grandchildren, Chase Hixson (Melissa), Sarah Collins (Tim), Collin Hixson, Tyler Elliot, Alexandra Celi, Rachel Celi and Megan Celi; great-grandchildren, Morrigan Hixson, Otto Hixson and Toby Hixson, along with many other family and friends who will miss him greatly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
