The clock is ticking on some of Coastal Carolina鈥檚 goals and milestones for the 2024 season.
Emotions will be high for Marshall, which is hosting CCU on its annual 鈥75鈥 Game, which honors the 75 people killed in a plane crash in 1970.
The Chanticleers will have the national spotlight on them as their rivalry game against Appalachian State is being broadcast on ESPN Thursday night, complete with a pre-game SportsCenter casting on campus ramping up to kickoff.
CCU head coach Tim Beck is taking over play-calling duties and the Chants' starting quarterback is a mystery as they try to snap a two-game losing streak.
The Louisiana Lafayette Ragin鈥 Cajuns and CCU have history听鈥 complete with a canceled Sun Belt championship game and social media trolling from team accounts, players and fans. The two will meet again for CCU鈥檚 homecoming game on Saturday at noon.

CCU (2-0) will face Temple (0-2) for the first time at 2 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, home of the NFL鈥檚 Eagles.
