The Loris Bog-Off Festival got its start in 1980 as a chicken bog cooking contest, and it's become a really big deal.

The 43rd annual Bog-Off was held Saturday throughout downtown Loris.
Professional chefs, restaurant owners and former Bog-Off winners can soon take their chances at winning Top Bog, a new contest coming to the Loris Bog-Off on Oct. 15.
